MADRUGADA (dawn)
A multimedia production using the Nosferatu legend as its point of departure for a delving into the nature of the vampire-victim dynamic, its relationship with fear and how it plays itself out on so many levels, from the personal to the political. With its physical expression rooted in flamenco dance; movement, text, music and film weaves through this expressionist piece, using elements from the classic novel to explore the darkness and ironies of human behavior.

Adding a starkly beautiful layer of imagery to the work, the video projection of the short film, MADRUGADA, acts as set backdrop and another dramatic element against which the live action contrasts at times and echos or fuses at others. The projection of the live action onto screens at either side of the stage adds yet another visual dimension to the piece.
